Miss Georgetown County Teen 2019
Julia Herrin is a 17 year old homeschooled rising senior who has lived in South Carolina her entire life. She founded a non-profit organization, Reader Leaders, and is dedicated to her work with her platform, #RealNotPerfect. She is a classically trained pianist, and has been studying piano for 11 years. Her goal is to get a 4 year degree, and matriculate to law school. She is the captain of her debate team, 3 time presidential service award winner, and Hilton Head Island Rotary Club’s Outstanding Student of the Year.

#RealNotPerfect: Promoting Healthy Self-Esteem in the Age of Social Media. The mission of #RealNotPerfect is to curb the rising tide of low self-esteem in an age of constant pressures to conform to society's unattainable standard of beauty. The goal of #RealNotPerfect is to encourage people to realize their worth, overcome their insecurities, and be proud of being real.
